In Indiana, more than 156,000 thousand nonfatal injuries and illnesses were reported in private industry workplaces. Men accounted for 90 percent of the occupational injuries in Indiana.

In another study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC) that looked at traumatic brain injury (TBI) caused by a blow or jolt to the head or a penetrating head injury that disrupts the normal function of the brain concluded.
